The cost of getting it wrong can be seriously damaging to business. In fact the CIPD had estimated the cost to a business of making a wrong hire as approximately twice their basic salary, however independent research led by Manchester University found the true cost to be nearer 2.7 times.

What's more, in practise, a smaller number of the right people is ultimately less expensive and more productive for you, than a larger number of the people who weren’t quite what you were hoping for.
