Lee Gates

Biography: Lee has primary responsibility for all business throughout Emerging Markets within Elements and his role encompasses both actively managing the business and personally handling strategic mandates in Global Markets and Investment Banking. Lee joined Elements following his tenure at Dagama Executive Search where he was Managing Partner with experience gained within Emerging Markets, Investment Banking and Fixed Income. He started his career as an Analytical Scientist at Abbott Laboratories where he gained a BSc in Pharmaceutical Science before moving into executive search in 1996.
Snezhina Gulubova

Biography: Snezhina has primary responsibility for all business areas across the Middle East and the African continent. Snezhina started her career in international diplomacy for the Middle East and South Asia. Subsequently, Snezhina moved into executive search in Emerging Markets with a leading boutique firm in London, started working with Elements in 2007. Snezhina speaks Arabic, Russia and Bulgarian and communicative Sanskrit and holds a Masters Degree in International Studies and Diplomacy awarded with Distinction from the School of Oriental and African Studies.
Uri Cohen

Areas of expertise: Emerging Markets Financial Services
Biography: Uri holds responsibility for business origination strategy across emerging markets with a special focus on leading Elements’ effort in China and South East Asia. He has 12 years of experience in EMEA executive search, where he originated and executed assignments in M&A, ECM, Fixed Income and Private Wealth Management. Uri speaks Arabic and Hebrew with native fluency, as well as Spanish at intermediate level. He holds a BA Hons in Politics and Philosophy from Middlesex University.
Trevor Charsley

Area of expertise: Foreign Exchange Trading & Sales, eCommerce
Biography: Trevor has over 20 years of experience in the City. His career has included positions as Head of FX Trading at a major Investment House, as well as being a Senior Sales professional at two of the leading Global eCommerce providers. He merged these skill sets together in 2005 by joining a leading FX Search and Selection business and after five years success in this field has joined Elements to help establish a new franchise. Trevor helps clients with sourcing FX trading and sales professionals, as well as working extensively in the eCommerce arena. He has successfully placed candidates from Assistant Vice-President to Managing Director level.
Richard Scriven

Biography: Richard spent many years heading a Developed Markets franchise, before refocusing on Emerging Markets where he is currently leading the execution of major mandates across the African continent in the Business Banking space. His areas of specialisation include Transactional Banking and Trade Services. Prior to joining Elements, Richard had 10 years experience within the UK Financial Services industry and holds a BSc Hons degree in Genetics.

Biography: Oksana leads our Emerging Market Private Banking & Wealth Management practice, specialising within strategic appointments across Switzerland, Monaco, Russia, Eastern Europe, Greece, Turkey and London, and is currently developing Latin America. She has extensive experience in search having worked in the industry since 1995, and prior to joining the business established the Private Banking practice for Napier Scott in London. She has Bachelor in Economics & Finance from Russian State Humanities University – Moscow, and speaks three languages fluently: Russian, English & French.
Global Commodities Practice
Paul Bibby

Biography: Paul heads our global commodities practice with primary responsibility for originating and transacting senior front office mandates within Sales & Trading, Structuring, and Origination across both risk management solutions and physical commodity markets. Assignments are on a retained basis, focusing on Global Head, MD and Director level hires on a global perspective. Paul has 16 years market experience, and has spent the last 12 years within Executive Search. In addition to being a significant fee earner for the firm, as founding and managing partner Paul continues to lead and manage the finance and operations of the firm.

Biography: Peter is currently responsible for both the Asset and Wealth Management practices at Elements. He personally manages assignments for our key clients in these sectors. He was heavily involved in helping to establish the original Financial Services practice and played a key role in the initial set up and development of the Emerging Markets Search team. He is one of the Managing Partners for Elements. Prior to entering the search industry, he had over19 years management experience within the markets themselves.

Biography: Irina is a member of Russia and CIS desk. She joined the search industry in 2007 following five years in property management company. Prior to that Irina worked as a tax advisor in various companies in Russia and Canada. Since entering search, she has been focused on multi asset sales and trading and structured products. Irina possesses a Bachelors degree from Voronezh State University, Russia and fluent in Russian.

Biography: Tom joined Elements as a Researcher after graduating from Nottingham University with a BA Hons in International Communications & Spanish. He has previously gained experience working as an intern at various City institutions, including as a researcher at Napier Scott Executive Search. He will be focusing on Emerging Markets, Trading and eCommerce. Tom speaks fluent Russian and Spanish.

Biography: Shan is a Chinese national and she joined Elements after a five year stint teaching Mandarin to High School students and adults in London. Shan focuses on the Chinese and South East Asian markets, and has developed comprehensive mapping and network of candidates and banks. Since her appointment, Shan has been involved in researching the full range of banking products, including corporate and investment banking and transactional services. In her spare time, Shan enjoys world travel and musicals. She has a BA in English Literature.
QI Wang

Biography: Qi has been working for Elements as a Beijing-based external consultant since 2009. A qualified accountant (ACCA) by training, Qi began her career in Audit with the Chinese firm ZhongWeiHuaHao before moving to London to work for a local accounting firm. Now back in Beijing, Qi has built solid relationships with Chinese banking professionals, as well as researching and mapping the market. Her product expertise includes Capital Markets, Investment Banking and Transactional Products. Qi has a MSc in Accounting and Finance from London South Bank University. Her interests include playing the piano and photography.
